Guide for oven cleaners

How to get more oven cleaning bookings.

I've run oven cleaning companies for 15 years. These are the things I'd sort first if I was starting again, in the order I'd do them.

1. Get your Google Business Profile right

When someone searches "oven cleaning near me", the map results are usually the first thing they see. Fill in every section of your profile: your services, the towns you cover, your opening hours and real photos of your work. Add new photos regularly and answer every review.

2. Ask every happy customer for a review

Customers compare reviews before they book. The best time to ask is straight after the job, when the oven is gleaming and they're pleased. Send a short text with a direct link to your Google review page. Make it one tap, and most people who say they'll do it actually will.

3. Have a website that makes booking easy

Your website doesn't need to be fancy. It needs to load fast on a phone, show your prices or "from" prices, list the areas you cover, show before-and-after photos and make it dead easy to call, WhatsApp or send a quote request. Test your own contact form. A lot of oven cleaners have a form that doesn't work and don't know it.

4. Look after the customers you already have

Ovens get dirty again. Keep a list of past customers and drop them a reminder when they're due another clean. Offering a discount for booking the oven with the hob, extractor or BBQ is an easy way to turn one job into a bigger one.

5. Get your name out locally

List your business in the main UK directories with exactly the same name, phone number and website everywhere. Branded van signage, leaflets with your reviews on and local Facebook groups all still work.

6. Use ads to fill the diary when you need to

Google Ads put you at the top for people searching right now, which is the quickest way to get bookings in a new area or a quiet month. Keep them tight to your towns and services, and block searches like "oven cleaning jobs" or "how to clean an oven" so you're not paying for clicks that will never book. More on that in how much Google Ads cost for an oven cleaner.
